PEARLS by Marcus White What would happen if the debutante and escort were one in the same, served as the leading question for this solo. Performed by Marcus White this dance theatre work uses movement and gesture to "perform" issues of class, respectability, gender, desire, and race within cotillion culture. White marries contemporary and club dance forms within the work and has developed the work since 2013.
